The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) has informed the Ghanaian public that it would not be able to telecast live the Black Stars game against Sudan.
The state broadcaster, in a statement, explained it was unable to telecast the match because New World TV, the Free-to-Air (FTA) rights holder in Sub-Sharan Africa, failed to give the feed to all FTA takers across Africa.
GBC revealed that it made the required payments for the telecast, hence it cannot be blamed for this unfortunate incident.
The broadcaster added it was its understanding that New World TV and CAF have unresolved issues leading to their current situation.
It therefore apologised for the inconvenience caused.
