Tongues of Fire, comprised of Mrs. Comfort Boaheng and Mrs. Harriet Owusu-Banahene, have revealed that they came to regret pursuing music.
The music duo revealed in an interview on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM’s mid-morning show that at some point in their lives, things became so difficult that they didn’t have enough pesewa to buy food.
In an exclusive interview with host Sokoohemaa Kukua, the duo revealed that when they first arrived in Ghana from Israel to pursue music, everything went smoothly until things took a bad turn for them.
They described the situation as God’s way of refining and reshaping them.
The duo also stated that their children couldn’t understand why they would leave Israel to come to Ghana and face difficulties.
The two claimed to have started restaurants, cosmetic shops, and other businesses, but they all failed.
“God was preparing us. The difficulties were real. We struggled, cried, and were hungry, but through it all, God hardened, refined, and made us new. We had regrets about pursuing music. It was extremely tough. We eventually ran out of money to buy food. It was as if God had abandoned us, but we prayed and remained strong in the face of these difficulties. The truth is bitter, but we have regrets. At one point, money was not an issue. We had stable jobs in Israel, but when we moved to Ghana, we didn’t have enough money to buy food,” Mrs. Harriet Owusu-Banahene explained.
Mrs. Comfort Boaheng, for her part, stated that they had no hope and wanted to give up, but that through all of these challenges, they have overcome the fire and pain and can now praise God for His mercies.
