Vice President of Ghana and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated that he implemented 33 policies to support the government during his tenure.
While addressing constituents in Peki, South Dayi constituency, as part of his Volta region campaign tour, he cited Agenda 111, one district one factory, digitalization, and the Zongo Development Fund among others, noting former President Mahama had no comparable policy achievements.
Dr. Bawumia assured that when it comes to policy, he can be trusted to deliver, and urged constituents to vote for him and the South Dayi parliamentary candidate.
He took a swipe at former President John Dramani Mahama, challenging him to single out one policy he championed as Vice President and President.
He claimed that Mr. Mahama has no such record and should not be considered as the next president.
“But if you ask the former President to tell us one thing that he has brought to help our wellbeing in our Ghana, just one policy, do you know one? Is it ‘dumsor’ or is it ‘Akonfem’ or now ‘Nkoko Nkiti Nkiti’? So we don’t have a policy. That is why I am asking you to vote for me and not only for me but King Jaja.”
He also promised to provide fishermen in North Dayi constituency with new solar- and electricity-powered outboard motors that eliminate the need for premix fuel.
