The police in the Ashanti region have arrested three teenage girls for allegedly murdering a 16-year-old junior high school graduate.
According to reports, the unfortunate incident occurred on Monday night around 7:30 p.m. in Anloga, Ashanti Region, after Dennis and one of the girls got into a fight while the trio was escorting a friend home.
During the incident, one of the girls allegedly stabbed Dennis in the rib, resulting in severe bleeding.
Dennis was rushed to the hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival.
The deceased’s family expressed shock at the incident and urged the police to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Stella Frimpong, the deceased’s mother, told the media that they went to Tweneboa Kodua (SHS) on Saturday and were told to report on Thursday. So, I beg the authorities to ensure that justice is served, as the child has passed away.
His brother, Evans Owusu Ansah, added, “What we, the family, want is for the government to assist and ensure that justice is served because you can’t just kill a boy. You cannot simply stab someone’s 15-year-old child.
“Therefore, the government must ensure that the right thing is done. I’m surprised a child her age would do such a thing.”
