The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated President-elect of the United States of America Donald J. Trump in the just-ended general elections.
General Secretary of the party, Fifi Kwetey, in a statement indicated that the victory chalked by Donald Trump is a positive development for the NDC as Ghana approaches its own presidential elections on December 7, 2024.
He declared that just as American voters chose experienced leadership, Ghanaians are likely to reject the current government’s record of “insensitivity, corruption, and economic mismanagement.”
He noted that the NDC remains committed to restoring “stability, integrity, and renewed hope” to the country, positioning the party as the viable alternative for voters seeking change in Ghana’s political landscape.
Donald Trump won a landslide victory in the US presidential election and will become the 47th president.
The former president garnered more than the 270 electoral votes needed to secure the presidency.
