The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Samuel Atta Ata Akyea, has compared the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to a ‘bosom’ (idiol), which continues to take from the people without providing them with anything beneficial.
He said the NDC is like a ‘bosom’ (idol) to which the people have stayed devoted throughout time despite the failure to provide any type of progress.
He noted that the NDC behaves like a ‘bosom’ that keeps taking sheep, goats, cows, and other animals from the people as sacrifice, and yet their husbands, wives, children, and relatives keep dying.
Addressing the Somanya community in Yilo Krobo Constituency during Samira Bawumia’s Eastern Region Zongo Communities Tour, he advised the constituents to vote against the NDC and vote massively for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the parliamentary candidate in the area, Dr. Twum Barimah.
“The NDC you keep voting for is a ‘bosom’ that keeps asking for a sheep, cow, or goat as your children, wives, and husbands continue to die. When that happens, you have to discard it. That is what the NDC is like. They ought to be thrown away.
I am urging you to vote massively for Dr. Twum Barimah as your MP and also vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the next President of Ghana so they will bring you the development you deserve.’’
Meanwhile, he has also taken a swipe at Speaker Alban Bagbin, stating that he was not the one to determine the majority in Parliament since that is reserved for the Ghanaian voters.
”The NDC is exploiting Bagbin to get a majority in Parliament. However, I am confident that Ghanaian voters control the majority in Parliament. You, the people, will select who will hold the majority in Parliament, not Bagbin. What you are doing here today has given me optimism that you (voters) would give us (the NPP) a majority in Parliament. Bagbin and the NDC are unable to decide who would form the majority in the House.’’
