Bawumia lacks credibility and integrity and is no match for Mahama – NDC Communicator

Nichiren Appiah Buadi, a member of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) communication team, has stated that there is no better justification than the fact that former President John Dramani Mahama is the best and most competent candidate for president.

He argued that the former president demonstrated superior leadership and managed the economy far better.

Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he indicated that Ghana’s economy was booming at the time of Mr. Mahama, with one dollar to GHc 4.

He stated that the economy is critical to any country’s prosperity. A country cannot grow unless it has an economy. During his tenure, the cedi was valued at four cedis for dollar. Mahama presided over a thriving economy. Let’s get started with the late Mills. Ghana’s economy was ranked as one of the world’s fastest growing.”

He posited that under no circumstances should Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia be compared to Mr. Mahama.

He said the Vice President lacks credibility, has no form of integrity, and does the opposite of what he says.

“You dare not compare Bawumia to Mahama because the Vice President is incompetent, lacks credibility, and does the opposite of what he says. He was the one who told us that when the fundamentals are weak, the exchange rate will expose you. Are the fundamentals strong today? You set standards and questions, and today you are being confronted with the same standards and questions. You are engaging in double talk and behaving like Kweku Ananse and lying to Ghanaians. You cannot be trusted.”

He added that Ghana witnessed massive infrastructure under the former president with the construction of the University of Ghana Medical Centre, which is one of the biggest in Ghana. When you get to the hospital, it is as if you have travelled abroad. When we were hit by COVID-19, that was the facility that treated our ministers.

To him, in terms of sports, Mahama is unmatched, stressing that all the various projects were done by Mr. Mahama under four years, but this government has been in power for eight years and has not done anything significant.

He said the only major significant thing we can point to about this government is bribery and corruption, and most particularly, President Akufo-Addo keeps clearing his appointees who are caught in scandals and corruption.
