Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, says the country has suffered significant setbacks under the eight-year rule of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He believes the mismanagement by the Nana Addo-led administration has led to widespread and poor living conditions.
The former President made the remarks while addressing a mini rally in Kyebi, in the Abuakwa South Constituency, as part of his five-day tour of the region on Monday, November 18, 2024.
He appealed to the residents in the area to vote massively for him and his party to restore hope and create better opportunities for all.
“Ghanaians have witnessed the effects of misplaced priorities and weak leadership. “It is time for a change that truly prioritises the people,” he said.
According to the former President, the NPP government’s performance over the last eight years has been regressive. In comparison to now, life was easier under the NDC government.
“Money that could buy a dinner during the NDC regime will not buy you the same meal now. Things have been difficult during the NPP administration.”
