Dr. Louisa Hanna Bissiw, National Women Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged voters, particularly women, to vote in large numbers for former President John Dramani Mahama.
She claimed that the former president is the only one who can implement policies that will improve people’s lives.
She described the upcoming elections to a woman who is getting ready for labour.
She told the women that the ballot papers would serve as a bed for them to deliver, and that they needed to thumbprint the umbrella on the ballot paper to ensure victory for the former president, so that he could come and deliver the change the people deserved.
On his part, the party’s National Youth Organiser, George Opare Addo, assured the crown gathered at the NDC’s final rally that President Akufo-Addo would have no choice but to assume power following the December 7 general elections.
He stated that on Saturday, Ghana’s youth will vote for change, and that the EC officials assigned to manage the process should not manipulate the results or overturn the people’s will.
He described the NPP government as a criminal organisation that must be ousted on December 7, 2024.
He said it was time for Ghanaian youth to stand up and fight for what was right, defend the ballot, and ensure Mahama’s victory, adding that whenever Ghana was at a crossroads, the youth stood up to defend Ghana’s image.
