Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters to stop blaming one another for the party’s humiliating defeat in the recently concluded general elections.
He warned supporters that such actions could further erode party unity.

He made the remarks while meeting with party executives from the Klottey Korley constituency.
According to him, voter apathy was one of the primary reasons for the party’s defeat.
In his opinion, the elephant family ceded power to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“We were unable to meet our expectations, so we conceded. That doesn’t mean it’s over. We lost a battle, but not the war. I’d like to encourage you all. In this election, we were the ones who helped the NDC win. They did not win because their numbers did not change since 2020.
“Ours was reduced by 40%. I want you to understand that united we stand, divided we fall. I’ve seen many people in pain, but I have a strong faith in God. His ways are not ours.

“Blame games are going to ruin us. Together, let’s stand. Quit assigning blame. Now let’s examine the future. Let’s focus on making the party stronger. It has nothing to do with personal ambition. I have faith that we will succeed.
