Dr. Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”), will visit Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda this week—the three countries that will host the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship 2024.
Dr. Motsepe’s visit to the three host countries will begin on Thursday morning, December 19, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. On Friday, December 20, he will visit Nairobi, Kenya, and Kampala, Uganda, to complete his three-nation journey.
During his tour, Dr. Motsepe will meet with governments, football leaders, and local organising committees from the three nations.
The activities and meetings program includes tours to stadiums and training facilities that are now being renovated in preparation for next year’s competition.
Dr. Motsepe’s visit follows a second inspection tour of the three host nations by a CAF mission in November, during which numerous stadiums, training locations, hotels, airports, and other facilities were evaluated.
CAF President’s three-nation tour schedule:
Thursday, 19 December: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Friday, 20 December (morning): Nairobi, Kenya
Friday, 20 December (afternoon): Kampala, Uganda
