Archbishop Charles Agyinasare of the Perez Dome says the year 2024 saw major shifts across the world.
These shifts he noted saw some countries recording some major changes in governments, including that of the United States elections and that of Ghana.
Delivering a sermon at the 31st watch night service on Tuesday, the man of God stated that this past year, we’ve seen major global and national shifts.
He posited that these shifts represent God’s sovereignty and his plan for these countries, most especially his people.
He asserted that God was in the process of transforming these countries that witnessed the major shifts.
“Two major events unfolded around the world, including the US elections and changes in various nations around the world and our Ghana elections.
These changes around the world remind us of the sovereignty of God over all nations, and they are indicators that God is in the process of changing things for the benefit of the world and especially his people.”
Archbishop Agyinasare went on to state that as a people, we must advocate for justice and righteousness and speak against injustice and inequalities.
He quoted Micah 6:8, which says, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” to support his call for our society to see justice, mercy, and humility.
To those who have been granted the opportunity to be in positions including the executive, legislature, judiciary, and business community, God is expecting us to act justly. to be merciful and walk humbly,he advised.
He said some of our leaders are arrogant, and when you advise them, they will get their followers to come after you.
He prayed and declared that in 2015, may God find leaders who will give a hearing ear to the things that God is saying and avoid being arrogant.
