President-elect John Dramani Mahama has constituted a six-member team to manage and oversee national security matters pending substantive appointments.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a special aide to the president-elect.
The six-member team would be led by former Minister for the Interior, Prosper Douglas Bani.
They will assume its responsibilities starting Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
According to the statement, the team is tasked with ensuring a seamless transition in national security operations as the new administration takes office.
The members of the team are:
Prosper Douglas Bani – Former Minister for the Interior (Team Leader)
Lt. General Peter Augustine Blay (Rtd.) – Former Chief of Defence Staff
Kofi Totobi Quakyi – Former Minister for National Security
Larry Gbevlo-Lartey, Esq. – Former National Security Coordinator
Brigadier General Fuseinu Iddrissu (Rtd.)
COP Nathaniel Kofi Boakye (Rtd.)
