The National Health Insurance Scheme has described as false claims that the free dialysis initiative has been cancelled.
Social media was awash with claims that the free dialysis has been suspended.
But the scheme in a statement on its official Facebook page described the circulation as completely false.
The disclaimer from the NHIS said ‘’the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) wishes to inform the general public that the circulating news about the suspension of the free dialysis policy under the NHIS benefits package is COMPLETELY FALSE and should be disregarded.
We urge the public to disregard the false information and to rely only on official communication from the NHIS or its authorized representatives.’’
