President John Dramani Mahama is currently in Banjul, The Gambia, as part of a two-country visit to both The Gambia and Senegal.
The President of Ghana is visiting the two countries to express gratitude to the Heads of State of these two West African nations for their participation in Ghana’s presidential inauguration ceremony held on January 7.


The visit also underscores President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding relations between Ghana and its West African neighbours.


A statement issued by the Presidency said ‘’President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Banjul, The Gambia.
Mr Mahama is on a two-country visit to The Gambia and Senegal to thank the Heads of State of the two countries for their participation in his Presidential inauguration ceremony on 7th January.
The visit is also in furtherance to President Mahama’s commitment to strengthening good relations with Ghana’s West African neighbours.
The president is expected to return home today from Dakar Senegal.’’
