Parliament approved President John Dramani Mahama’s first batch of ministerial appointments.
The three successfully went through the constitutionally required vetting last week after they were nominated.
The Vetting Committee submitted its report before the plenary on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and debated it and finally approved the three in the persons of
Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minister for Finance. John Jinapor as Minister for Energy
and Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General and Minister for Justice.
Following the debate, members of Parliament approved the nominees, allowing them to assume their ministerial responsibilities.
President John Dramani Mahama is expected to swear them in later today.
