Mr. Abubakar Yakubu, the NPP’s Sunyani East Communications Officer, has described North Tongu Member of Parliament Samuel Okudzeto as ‘a beautiful beneficiary’ of state appointees and MPs purchasing state lands and other assets.
He claims that the chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) lacks the authority to call others who have legally purchased state lands out.
He said that the North Tongu has benefited from this practice to the point where his kitchen utensils may be considered state assets.
Mr. Yakubu is therefore appealing to the minority caucus in parliament to use the vetting of the MP who has been nominated as Minister-designate for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration to expose him for his hypocrisy.
‘’So I am confident what is going to happen, even though the majority will try to block us; we will ask the salient questions,, and the nominee would have to answer them,’’ he declared.
He admitted that the argument of appointees abusing their office to purchase these state assets is genuine; purchasing them legally is not wrong,’but Okudzeto Ablakwa,, who is a beneficiary of the same,, which is legal,, is the one claiming to be highly moral. He is someone who has benefitted throughout his life. He is not the man to make these claims or be exposing those who have purchased state assets. Throughout his life, he has benefitted from state assets, and so he cannot be the one to champion that agenda. He is a beautiful beneficiary of this. Such a person denigrating and dragging the image of people when he has something like this hanging around his ass should not be the one to shout. He must be exposed for being a hypocrite.
