The Ghana Police Service has assigned a psychologist to provide counselling services to the wife and children of the late Kotoko Football Club fan, Francis Yaw Frimpong, commonly known as Pooley.
This was announced by the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, during his visit to the deceased’s relatives in Kumasi.
The supporter was allegedly stabbed to death on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at a premier league match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Nsoateman FC.
Dr. Dampare, in his remarks, assured the bereaved family that an investigation was being conducted into the matter and all those found culpable would be punished in accordance with the law.
The IGP led a team of investigators and high-ranking officers of the Ghana Police Service to console the deceased’s relatives today, Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
