They are currently in police custody assisting with the investigation into the matter that led to the death of a Kotoko supporter, Yaw Frimpong, who is widely known as “Pooley.”.
This brings the number of arrested suspects to five, the police said in an update released on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
The police assured the public an intelligence operation is currently ongoing to apprehend the other suspects to face justice.
The arrests come in the aftermath of a crucial meeting between the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and representatives from Asante Kotoko.
