Gospel musician and ordained minister of the gospel, Uncle Ato, originally known as Rev. Alexander Bruce Ghartey, says he would have to pray and seek the face of God before collaborating with a secular musician.
The man of God, who has six albums to his credit and several other singles and is currently working on his seventh album, said if God gives him the direction, he will not hesitate in collaborating with secular musicians.
He made this statement during a recent interview with Sokoohemaa Kukua on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM’s mid-morning show.
When asked if he was willing to collaborate with secular musicians on projects, he said, “This is not something I have considered.” None of them have also approached me about a project. But if they approach me, I will consider it. When you compose a song, you may be able to predict who will improve it if you collaborate. This is how it is done.
”If a secular musician approaches me, I will reflect on it, pray about it, and seek the face of God. I’ll think about it and look into the purpose of that song. If after doing so, I discover that it is worthwhile and has an impact on lives. “Why not?”
Shedding light on the benefits he had derived from music, he stated that the several opportunities he had to travel around the world were made possible by music, and that even if these benefits were not as significant as some may believe, he was satisfied with what he had accomplished through music.
