Palgrave Boakye Danquah, a former technical advisor and government spokesperson on governance and security at the Ministry of Information, has expressed strong optimism that former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be sworn in as president of the republic in 2028.
He has asked Ghanaians, particularly those who align with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to remain strong and hopeful that come 2028, Dr. Bawumia will serve as president.
He has thus urged the party to continue to rally local support and work together to ensure that the party returns and wins massively in the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Boakye-Danquah urged supporters to put everything behind them, stop playing the blame game, and instead unite for a strong front. I am appealing to the chapters in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Northern Ireland to unite and work for the party. We are the only party capable of transforming this country.
He urged the party to continue criticising the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) when it makes mistakes in order to improve.
He was on the phone with Sir Richie during ‘As it is in Ghana’ on Rainbow Radio 92.4FM in the United Kingdom.
Commenting on the 2024 general elections, Mr. Boakye-Danquah stated, “We went into the elections hoping to win, but unfortunately, Ghanaians voted, and President John Dramani Mahama won. We will not go into details about what caused our defeat right now. It is an internal party issue, which we will resolve internally. The goal now is to bring Bawumia back in 2028. The Bring Back Bawumia campaign has been activated. He will undoubtedly win the 2028 general election. We will work efficiently to ensure that Dr. Bawumia is elected president in 2028”.
He was so confident that he promised to sell all of his properties, particularly those in London.”I am optimistic that Dr. Bawumia will be elected President soon. And, as I have previously stated, if Dr. Bawumia is not elected president, I will sell all of my properties in London. “We will continue to work hard to ensure that Dr. Bawumia is elected president,” he told the host.
