President John Dramani Mahama has appointed media personality, fashion entrepreneur, and cultural ambassador, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) as Presidential Adviser on Diaspora Affairs.
The appointment of KOD underscores President Mahama’s commitment to strengthening ties with Ghanaians abroad, fostering investment opportunities, and enhancing cultural and economic collaboration.
Darko’s career began as a production assistant for a Ghana Broadcasting Corporation. He later joined Radio Gold and then moved to England for work.
His experience includes holding positions at fashion designers such as Ted Baker and Paul Smith, before returning to Ghana to continue working in the media space.
He is politician, creative president, Nineteen57, Ghana’s leading Men’s Clothing Brand, Pan-African Activist & Broadcaster & Curator of Rhythms On Da Runway.
