Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare has showered praise on President John Dramani, describing him as a man who means business.
Speaking after the presentation of the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday, February 27, 2025, she said the presentation reflected our current dire state and the bold solutions that the President has in stock to restore economic stability.
She commended the president for declaring that he will not lament about the problems but rather be willing to provide solutions.
‘’President Mahama demonstrated leadership. His SONA showed that he is a man that means business. Even in the face of difficulty, he assured that he was in to lament but prepared to resolve the economic crisis. That demonstrates a leader who is committed to work. There is no bolder statement better than this one. I don’t know what else the president can say to put his citizens at ease,’’ she said in an interview with Rainbow Radio’s parliamentary correspondent Boshyeba Afriyie.
The minister, who also represents the constituents of Techiman North, appealed to Ghanaians to trust in the president because the policies and initiatives he has outlined will create more jobs, stabilise the ailing economy, and provide opportunities for every Ghanaian across all sectors.
Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare said the president has given marching orders to all his ministers to discharge their duties in a manner that will promote stability. As the trade minister, her duty is to create opportunities for businesses to expand, reduce importation, export more, and employ more people.
