Founder and President of the Africa Centre for Economic Transformation (ACET), Amoako, has suggested that Ghana needs a comprehensive financing strategy to align Ghana’s development goals with available resources.
Dr. K.Y. Amoako, speaking at the National Economic Dialogue, said there was the need for a structured approach to mobilise and manage funds effectively to drive the nation’s economic transformation.
He believes Ghana can streamline development assistance, avoid duplication of efforts, and ensure that funds are directed towards impactful projects that align with the country’s long-term goals through a centralised platform.
“Ghana needs a comprehensive financing strategy, one that will certainly align different finance sources to our vision. Such a strategy should include three essentials.
“A Ghana development finance platform that will bring in development assistance to Ghana, including accessing the progress we are making in our policy and program reforms to ensure that resources are not duplicative, wasted, or misaligned with our governmental vision,” he added.
