Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has averred that accountability will be central to the implementation of policy recommendations from the just-ended National Economic Dialogue.
According to her, the government remains committed to ensuring transparency and sustained action in driving Ghana’s economic recovery and growth.
Speaking at the closing session of the two-day forum, the vice president stated that the government will work closely with stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of the policy recommendations.
“We will work with stakeholders so that the policy points are implemented effectively. This means ensuring that we take sustained action in the areas of fiscal reforms, private sector support, infrastructure development, and good governance. Furthermore, we need to track the process and remain transparent in our efforts.
“Accountability will be a central pillar in the implementation process. In the months and years to come, we promise to engage with you to monitor our progress to ensure that we are delivering on the policies proposed during this dialogue,” she added.
The two-day forum brought together experts, policymakers, academia, traditional leaders, and private sector representatives.
Discussions focused on key areas such as sustainable macroeconomic stability, economic transformation, infrastructure development, structural reforms, private sector-led growth, governance improvements, and anti-corruption efforts.
