Club Licensing committee Chairman, Kwame Baah Nuako says the tragic death of the devoted Asante Kotoko supporter, Nana Pooley should not be in vain.
He has therefore called on the Ghanaian football community to ensure that the tragic loss of the footballer brings some reforms.
Kwame Nuako Baah made the remarks on the sidelines of the final funeral rites of the fan who was allegedly stabbed to death a few weeks ago.
He said “For him to lose his life following Kotoko and doing what he loves, I think this should be the last time such a thing happens in our game,” he stated.
“It feels like we’ve sacrificed him, but if his passing becomes a rallying cry for the football family to realize that it is senseless to lose people in such a manner, then his life would have been worth living, and his death would have meant something for the game.”
“For the football family, the lesson is clear: we cannot lose another Pooley. We didn’t learn from May 9, but we shouldn’t allow this to go unremembered,” he added.
