The Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has assured Parliament that the President John Mahama-led administration will comply with the public procurement process and link them to the approved budget.
Presenting the budget statement to Parliament on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, he said the government will not overspend its budget.
He said, “We will respect the limit of the appropriations as approved by Parliament.”
He noted that the government will restore hope in the economy.
“He will fix the economy, restore hope, and build the Ghana we want,” the finance minister said when presenting the 2025 budget statement.
Dr. Forson described the budget as a culmination of true aspirations, genuine desires of Ghanaians.
“This budget was preceded by the National Economic Dialogue on the theme: Resetting Ghana; Building the Economy we want on March 3 and 4. Through this consensus-building dialogue, the people demanded real solutions to the challenges that plague us as a country.
“Mr. Speaker, the 2025 budget is a culmination of the true aspirations and genuine desires of the people of Ghana expressed through the engagement with diverse stakeholders,” he said.
