Popular Ghanaian musician Bernice Ansah has named President John Dramani Mahama as the only personality with in-depth knowledge to help shape the creative arts industry.
According to her, President John Mahama and the NDC are capable of reviving the dying entertainment industry, which Nana Addo and the NPP could not revive. She believes the creative arts industry stands a better chance with the NDC than the NPP.
Speaking exclusively with Rainbow Radio International parliamentary correspondent Bohyeba K Afriyie in Parliament, she stated that the NPP knows nothing about the movie and music industry, hence the need to retain the NDC in 2018.
The “Gbenze Gbenze” hitmaker added that “the only way for the creative arts industry is President Mahama, as his previous works speak for themselves, and from his own pocket, what he has done for the industry folks and keeps doing shows it all.”
Bernice Ansah described the Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) as a failure under former President Nana Akufo Addo because musicians were not getting what they deserved as royalties.
In conclusion, she said the only person who can revive the entertainment industry in Ghana is John Mahama because he is an entertainer himself.
