Former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo was at the New Patriotic Party’s headquarters for her scheduled disciplinary hearing on Monday, April 7, 2025—despite the party’s announcement that it had been suspended indefinitely.
The private legal practitioner told journalists that she came for the hearing because she did not receive any official communication from the party about the suspension of the hearing.
While entering the headquarters, some were met by some supporters who are believed to be from her constituency, chatting songs and expressing their love and support for her.
She disclosed that she received the letter inviting her to appear before the disciplinary committee on Sunday, April 6, 2025, just a day before the hearing, but as a law-abiding member of the party, she decided to honor it.
When asked if she had not heard that the hearing had been suspended, she responded, saying she had not officially been served with that information.
Madam Safo noted that it was proper for the party to serve her with the latest update just as she was served personally with the summons to appear on Sunday.
