President and bankroller of Cheetah FC Abdul-Hayye Yartey has described Ben Nunoo Mensah, the outgoing President of the Ghana Olympics Committee (GOC), as an experienced sports administrator.
He said the quality of work done by Mr Nunoo Mensah for the sports sector is immeasurable.
Speaking on Rainbow Sports, he asserted that they took the decision by Nunoo Mensah not to seek reelection in good faith.
He argued that the GOC’s President has achieved a lot for Ghana through his activities over the past eight years and beyond.
‘’Ben Nunoo Mensah is a well-experienced sports administrator. He has done a lot for Ghana over the past eight years and beyond. His leadership qualities have benefitted us and will continue to benefit us. There are very few sports administrators and experienced ones for that matter. So every individual who has contributed to the development of sports in Ghana is very important.’’
He is optimistic that the outgoing President will continue to support the sports sector and that the next GOC President who will take over from him, can still count on him and take advice from him.
