The Central Regional Minister, Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, has indicated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) never gave the region its fair share of roads.
He noted that although former President Akufo-Addo declared the year of roads mantra while in office, the region did not benefit from it.
He said that for the eight years the NPP was in office, the Central Region was denied motorable roads.
Speaking with Nyankonton Mu Nsem at the confirmation of the District Chief Executive of Gomoa Central, he assured the people of Gomoa that the ruling government will prioritise the construction of roads in the region.
He also admonished the District Chief Executives who would be approved to work closely with the Assembly members to develop the region and continue the resetting agenda in every district.
The Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Kwame Asare Obeng, also pledged to work with the DCE to develop Gomoa Central.
According to him, the district needs more developmental projects, so they will ensure to develop the district within their 4-year mandate.
The District Chief Executive, Mr. Hackman Kwabina Aidoo, used the opportunity to thank the assembly members and the President of the Republic of Ghana and assured them of working hard to change the narrative of Gomoa.
According to him, his doors remain open to all people, irrespective of their party affiliation.
