Nomination of District Chief Executives for the Eastern has been released.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and signed by Minister Ahmed Ibrahim disclosed this.
The nomination was made in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 2016 (Act 936) (as amended).
Assembly members for the various District Assemblies will have to vote to confirm the nominees before they can be sworn in to officially assume office.
