Upcoming Dancehall Afro-Fuse artist ThugboiOyibo, originally nown as Emmanuel Quansah, has voiced out the struggles that new artists or musicians encounter while trying to penetrate the competitive music scene.
The young, talented, and creative artist posited that several young, talented musicians out there do not have the support to break through.
Speaking to Rainbowradioonline.com, Thugboi revealed that he is currently the one sponsoring himself without support from anyone.
He has released three singles, namely Savage, Again and Again, and Hope.
Sharing his inspiration to pursue music, he indicated that life struggles and pain shape and inspire his style of music.
As a new artist, he is optimistic he will soon make the country proud.
According to him, he is working hard to break through all the obstacles that hinder new musicians.
He was of the view that music should help shape society, transform change, and inspire people to believe in themselves no matter the struggles they go through.
”I believe in what I do. I have high standards for my work. It is not an easy struggle. I don’t have any backing, but I’ve managed to release three different tracks. These are songs about my struggles and the pain I’ve experienced. I always want to use my music to inspire others. I am hopeful that I will become a global sensation soon because music is something I enjoy and value,” he said.
