Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has been nominated in the 2025 edition of the Black Entertainment Television Awards.
Black Sheriff has been nominated in the Best International Act category.
The ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ hitmaker is contesting artists such as Tyla (South Africa), Rema (Nigeria), Any Gabrielly (Brazil), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Basky (UK), Uncle Waffles (Swaziland), Ezra Collective (UK), Joé Dwèt Filé (France), MC, Luanna (Brazil), and SDM (France).
This is Black Sherif’s first nomination at the main BET Awards.
However, he was previously nominated in a BET Hip Hop Awards nomination in 2023.
The rapper is originally known as Mohammed Ismail Sharrif.
He shot to fame in 2021 with a string of viral singles that blended drill, Afrobeat, and highlife influences, making him one of Ghana’s most unique musical exports.
His latest album, ‘Iron Boy’, has been making waves on streaming platforms and music charts.
