The Black Satellites of Ghana is seeking to secure its place in the semi finals as they face off against host nation Egypt.
The team is poised for victory as the winner of the game will not only qualify for the semi finals but also the U20 World Cup to be held in Chile.
Coach for the team, Desmond Ofei, described today’s game as the final, hence the players are coming in all out to make their country proud. He stated that the game is the golden ticket to the next stage and the host nation will do everything possible to win the game.
“‘Tomorrow’s game is the final. It is the golden ticket and everybody wants this ticket and I am sure the host nation will do everything in their ability to also win the game but all in all we have to show we are the better team. I think we are not only playing a team but we are playing against a nation, history, and we have to be at our very best to ensure that at the end of the 90 minutes plus extra, we are the winners of the game,” he said.
He said Egypt has some incredible players including the Captain who he described as the engine of the team.
Coach Ofei indicated that the Ghana side would have to respect the Egyptian team and be at their best, stay true to themselves, the philosophy, and the DNA, adding that the team and players are very hungry for success and want to make their country proud.
He said he knows the strength of his opponent and the Ghanaian team and they are prepared to give an incredible performance.
