The Ghana Health Service has provided an update on the cases of Mpox in Ghana.
According to the service, the cases have increased from two to four as of today, May 18, 2025.
A statement by the GHS said the respective regional health directorates have promptly activated public health measures.
These measures include contact tracing to prevent the spread of the virus.
A preliminary assessment done by the GHS has shown that the two newly confirmed cases have no link first two recorded cases.
It advised the public to practise regular hand hygiene, avoid close contact with individuals exhibiting symptoms such as rashes and report any suspected cases to the nearest health facility.
