Ghana’s First Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has returned home after undergoing extensive medical treatment in the United Kingdom.

The former Education Minister was sent abroad for further medical care on the advice of doctors following an illness.

Initially, she was admitted at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) but required specialized care in the United Kingdom.

Her arrival was met with a warm reception at the Kotoka International Airport, where she was welcomed by President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama.

They were joined by Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, Finance Minister Dr. Ato Forson, the Vice President’s Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia, and other high-ranking government officials.

Also at the airport were the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church and family members of the Vice President.
