Hohoe United FC captain Safianu Osman has reflected on the team’s long and arduous path to securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the 2025/2026 season, describing the achievement as a testament to resilience, unity, and unwavering faith.
According to Safinu, the team approached the season with a clear goal and unwavering focus, emphasising preparation, hard work, and seizing opportunities. “From day one, we knew what we wanted. We trained with purpose, learnt from every setback, and kept pushing,” he said.
This meticulous approach paid off. The club overcame numerous challenges and rose to the occasion when it mattered most, ultimately clinching their spot in Ghana’s top flight.
Safianu credited divine intervention as a cornerstone of their journey, expressing heartfelt gratitude to God for guiding the team through adversity. He also paid tribute to the fans, whose loyalty and encouragement served as a constant source of motivation. “Our fans believed in us even when things got tough. We owe them everything,” he noted.
Personally, Safianu was especially thrilled to have scored in the crucial 3-1 home victory that sealed their qualification. “It’s a dream come true,” he said. “To contribute in such a moment is something I’ll cherish forever. I thank God for the strength and opportunity.”
Looking ahead, the captain reaffirmed the team’s resolve not just to participate in the Ghana Premier League but to make a lasting impact. “We’re not coming just to add to the numbers,” he emphasised. “We’re coming to compete, to grow, and to make our fans proud every step of the way.”
As Hohoe United prepares for this new chapter, one thing is clear: their journey to the top was no accident—it was the result of belief, hard work, and an unshakeable spirit.
