The Attorney General and Minister of Justice Dr. Dominic Ayine has disclosed that that GH¢8,256,000.00 was deposited into an Ezwich account registered in the name of the former Director General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Osei-Assibey Antwi, during the 2022/2023 service year.
The Minister was addressing journalists on updates in the ongoing investigations by the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) taskforce.
Dr. Ayine stated that said this at a press conference on Friday, June 13, 2025 alleging that the funds were personally received by Mr. Osei-Assibey Antwi.
The Minister indicated that an Ezwich card linked to the account was retrieved from the suspect’s residence during a search operation.
“In the 2022/2023 service year, a total of eight million, two hundred and fifty-six thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢8,256,000.00) was deposited into EZWICH account number 1177042059, which is registered in the name of suspect Osei Assibey. Investigations showed that he personally received these funds. During a search at his residence, the aforementioned Ezwich card was found,” he revealed.
