The Chairman of the NPP UK Branch, Kingsley Adumattah Agyapong, popularly known as Wofa K, has stated that it would not serve the party well to make public the contents of its fact-finding report on why the party lost the 2024 general elections.
Speaking with Dr. Ren on Drive Talk on Rainbow Radio 92.4FM, he disclosed that following its defeat in the 2024 general elections, the party decided to investigate the reasons for the loss and to outline measures aimed at closing ranks and uniting toward future victory.
Wofa K explained that there were numerous factors behind the party’s defeat, and through the fact-finding process, a wide range of issues were identified and recommendations made.
According to him, the final report contains sensitive information that could potentially cause more harm than good if made public or if it falls into the hands of political opponents.
“A committee was recently formed to investigate why the party lost the elections, and it uncovered several issues that contributed to our defeat. The contents of the report are sensitive, and making the entire document public would expose us to our opponents, who could use this information against us,” he stated.
He added, “The recommendations made by the fact-finding committee are sensitive, and we cannot allow them to be made public. I don’t even think every member of the national executive has seen the report. As far as I know, only the General Secretary and the National Chairman have reviewed it. I believe it’s in our best interest not to release the contents of the report.”
He also reacted to the party’s decision to organize its presidential primary on January 31, 2026.
Wofa K explained that proceeding with the election of the candidate, as announced by the party, is in line with the constitution of the NPP.
According to him, the early presidential primary was part of recommendations made with the broader objective of uniting the party’s front in preparation for victory in 2028.
