The Ghana Police Service (GPS) says it has rescued a minor who was shown being tortured in a viral video.
The incident involved a 12-year-old minor who was tied with nylon rope and hanging on a roof of a building and being subjected to severe beatings by two adults.
A police statement disclosed that the victim was subjected to the beatings for allegedly stealing Ghc200 at the New Ankasa community near Elubo in the Western region.
Issah Morro, 58, and Suleman Abdul Rashid, 27, were arrested in connection with the incident.
The victim has since been treated and released to his father.
