The Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has announced the creation of a dedicated donation desk at the Ministry to facilitate the receipt and processing of donations, including equipment and consumables, from individuals and and organizations.
The Minister highlighted the challenges previously faced by donors in clearing their donations and assured that the new desk will expedite the process, ensuring donations are cleared quickly and duty-free.
The donation desk will also assess the need for and condition of donated equipment and consumables. To that end, the Ministry will send representatives to evaluate donations outside the country if necessary.
The Minister provided a contact number for the donation desk, 0204611611, and invited individuals and organizations to call and discuss potential donations to support the country’s health system.
This initiative aims to strengthen Ghana’s health system and improve healthcare delivery.
