Hon. Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi-Dorani, Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, has expressed optimism about the upcoming mid-year budget review.
Speaking in an interview with journalists in Parliament, he highlighted several government initiatives that he believes are steps in the right direction, including efforts to stabilise the dollar, payment of first-year fees for students, and the implementation of the Mahamacare programme.
The MP hopes that the government will continue to implement projects started during the previous administration, including road construction. He commends the government’s commitment to paying contractors, which will enable the completion of awarded projects.
Hon. Dorgbadzi-Dorani believes that the Mahamacare program will have a positive impact on the country, particularly for the aged and those facing financial constraints.
The MP’s expectations are centred around the government’s ability to build on existing initiatives and deliver tangible benefits to Ghanaians. He looks forward to hearing more about the budget and potential projects from the finance minister.
He believes that every sector should be touched so that every citizen can feel part of the government’s initiatives and see progress in their areas of interest.
The MP emphasised the need for the government to prioritise a balanced approach, where no sector or group is left behind. He believes that this will foster a sense of national unity and shared prosperity.
