The Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korle Constituency, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has denounced the stabbing incident involving a student at Kinbu Secondary and Technical High School.
She expressed profound shock and disappointment, characterizing the act as unacceptable violence.
In a statement, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings pledged to collaborate with the Ghana Police Service and relevant authorities to investigate the incident thoroughly and ensure justice is served.
The lawmaker emphasized that violence has no place in schools, and students must feel safe while attending classes. She suggested that the incident should serve as a wake-up call for stakeholders in the education and security sectors to reassess safety protocols in schools and devise strategies to prevent such violent incidents from recurring.
Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings assured that she would work closely with security agencies and education stakeholders to enhance security measures and provide mental health support.
