You were demonised yet stayed firm, helping Mahama secure victory, and he hasn’t forgotten you – Prophet told

August 4, 2025
Prophet Nigel

The Youth Employment Agency’s (YEA) Acting Chief Executive Officer, Malik Basintale, has praised Prophet Nigel Gaisie for his steadfast faith and prophecy of President Mahama’s victory, even in the face of criticism and insults.

Basintale commended the man of God for standing firm and praying for the President when critics demonised him. He made these remarks while joining the prophet at his Prophetic Hill Church on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

According to Basintale, it is important to appreciate those who contribute to your success. He referenced the story of Jesus Christ and the two condemned thieves, noting that the saviour remembered the one who rebuked the other for mocking him.

Basintale acknowledged the challenges public figures face, stating that when people start attacking you, they will “vilify you and make all manner of claims.”

He continued, “And so for prophet to have had the confidence” and remain resolute in his prophecy about Mahama, even when he was “attacked, insulted and demonised.” Basintale then shifted his focus to the economy, saying, “Today for the first time in history of Ghana and this not to do politics; let me take the dollar, no government has come into power and the dollar has come.”

He said the goodwill the President enjoys now makes everyone confident enough to praise God. However, Basintale added, “we also remember at that time those who were there for us.”

Basintale delivered a message from the President himself, saying: “And I say that President Mahama is a man who does not forget people and he says that when he was on the cross, and you were beside him and you told him he will get to his father’s house and today, he is in his father’s house and he says I should tell you that you will not be forgotten.”

He appealed to the church to continue praying for the government, stating that “President Mahama is a man who feels every second that dedicating his life to the course of this country is a must and a calling and he has done that and executed that diligently.”

In a show of support for the new administration, Prophet Nigel Gaisie led the congregation in a prayer for the government.

He asked God to protect the new administration from scandals and anything that could cause Ghanaians pain.
