President John Dramani Mahama has assigned additional responsibilities to Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Defence Minister.
Furthermore, the President has designated Lands and Natural Resources Minister Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah to serve as Acting Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology, effective until further notice.
This directive comes in the wake of the tragic deaths of Defence Minister Dr. Owusu Boamah and Environment Minister Murtala Mohammed, who lost their lives in a military helicopter crash along with six others, as announced in a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of Government Communications.
