The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential elections committee has announced that five aspirants have officially filed their nomination forms to contest the presidential primary.
The filing of nominations was completed today, Thursday, August 28, 2025.
A statement issued by the party disclosed that the five individuals who have successfully filed to contest are Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.
The party opened nominations for the contest on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, with General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong acting on behalf of the National Council.
Meanwhile, the committee has assured all stakeholders of a transparent, credible, and fair process to ensure the integrity of the election.
The NPP’s presidential primary is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
