Minister of Health Kwabena Mintak Akandoh has presented medical equipment valued at $1.5 million (GHC 15 million) to the Ga North Municipal Hospital.
This donation is intended to enhance the facility’s capacity to provide high-quality care to its patients.
The equipment was provided in response to concerns raised by hospital management during the minister’s working visit a month ago.
Since becoming operational in 2018, the hospital has faced challenges with inadequate equipment.
This donation is part of the government’s broader commitment to retooling health facilities nationwide, ensuring that all citizens have access to optimal healthcare.
In a post on Facebook commenting on the presentation, the Minister said”Today, the Ga North Municipal Hospital received medical equipment valued at $1.5 million (Ghc 15 million).
Just about a month ago, I paid an unannounced visit to the facility, where management raised concerns about inadequate equipment since the hospital became operational in 2018.
This presentation is part of government’s broader commitment to retool health facilities across the country to ensure the delivery of quality and optimal healthcare to all citizens.”
