The family of the revered man of God disclosed that he passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

He was known as a technological innovator, philanthropist, agriculturalist, and industrialist.

A statement issued by the family described the deceased as a national icon whose life touched many.

Romans 14:8, cited in the family’s statement, reflected his devotion: “For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord.”

According to the family, he was “a true genius, a beacon of hope for many, and a father to the fatherless,” noting that Ghana has lost a gallant son and a true legend. Tributes and memorial plans are expected in the coming days as the nation honours his enduring legacy.

“The burial and funeral arrangements shall be duly communicated in the coming days,” a statement, signed by his daughter and former MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, added.
