The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formally referred multiple petitions lodged against its Deputy Director of Communications, Mr. Ernest Owusu Bempah, to the party’s National Council for further deliberation and action.
This decision was conveyed in a statement released on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, and signed by NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong.
According to the statement, the party has viewed with “grave concern” the conduct of Mr. Bempah subsequent to the filing of the petitions against him.
He disclosed that some petitioners are advocating for Mr. Bempah’s removal from office.
However, it was noted that Mr. Bempah’s appointment was predicated on the recommendation of the National Executive Committee and subsequently endorsed by the National Council; thus, the petitions have been referred to the Council for appropriate review and decision.
“The Party reaffirms its unwavering commitment to upholding discipline, safeguarding its values, and ensuring that all matters are handled with fairness and transparency,” the statement added.
